The DVD consists of 5 sections: -
 
The Vanishing Village
– A Granada TV programme all about Wigston Magna with footage taken in the late 1950’s. It tells the story of the village and how it looked in the late 50’s with lots of local footage.
 
The Wigston Folk Museum
: - Cine footage taken by Tony Lawrance of the museum started by Duncan Lucas at White Gate Farm. Showing the exhibits and a TV clip shown on the local news.
 
1939 Wigston Magna Carnival and crowning of the Village Queen
: - Colour and Black & White footage of the event showing the parade floats, people and the streets on the route of the carnival
 
1939 South Wigston and Glen Parva Carnival and crowning of the Village Queen
: - Black and White footage of the event showing the parade floats, people and the streets on the route of the carnival
 
Wigston South Railway Sidings
: - taken circa 1958 a short cine footage of the activities and people in the sidings.
