The Heritage Centre contains books, documents, maps, memorabilia, audio recordings, scrap books, newspapers, cds & dvds, and a computerised and indexed archive of over 10,000 photographs of Wigston and surrounding areas.
The Centre also has computers with internet access and a wealth of records for genealogical research for Wigston, as well as further afield.
The Centre is situated on the Wigston
Academy Campus, off Station Road,
LE18 2DS, through the gate to the left
side of the Swimming Baths (follow the signs).

The Centre is open for free viewing of archive material by Society Members and the General Public on Friday each week from 10.00am until 4.00pm. When the Centre is open, there are volunteers on-site with an interest in Wigston History and Family History. They will be happy to show you round the Centre and assist you.
In 2020 we are planning that the Centre will be open another extra day or evening during the week. Check this webpage for latest details
